I think I leveled up

So last week I was at a local state park working on my bird photography when I snapped this picture
I friggin love this picture. The ONLY thing I did to it was crop it a bit to cut out some of the dead space. But the pop of red of the cardinal against basically a black and white background is just chefs kiss
This bird was very far away. I have a cheap (but not cheap) camera - so this is as clear of a picture as I can get with a bunch of distance between us. This means that it’s probably time to upgrade the camera.
I currently use the Nikon z50 mirrorless camera. What I’ve learned over the years is that it can only handle 2 specific lenses. One wide angle and one zooming. This has met my needs so far, but I think I’ve maxed out how much better I can do with this camera.
Which is fun, I feel like I just ‘leveled’ up my photography skills. Kind of a neat way to think about it.
Having said that, I still welcome any and all honest feedback / critiques.
